If you can’t quite decide what to get mom this Mother’s Day, this store may be your best resort. Tweak, The Original Giftery opened for business in January 2012. Many stores sell items that could make good gifts. Tweak sells all pre-wrapped gifts that contain cool items. As the owner so describes, instead of employees, Tweak has elves. “Who else has a career making gifts all year?” they ask. Tweak folks work in a gift factory (giftery), rather than a simple store. Included in every gift is an “elf card,” gift receipt with information on the worker who wrapped the gift.

Shop for a variety of items for mom, including things such as kitchenware, home accessories, barware, serveware and edibles and much more. As the owner points out, Tweak is Where Harry Potter, Dorothy Draper, Leonardo Da Vinci and Santa Claus would shop if they lived in Hollywood. The store is open Monday-Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Sundays noon – 5 p.m.

The caretaker’s cottage is now The Raymond.

Guests here will enjoy the works of executive chef Tim Guiltinan as he puts together a menu of inventive, classically-inspired, modern American fare. Utilizing a wide-range of global techniques, Guiltinan creates dishes that mix the familiar with the exotic, tradition with innovation. In the event you want to take mom for a Sunday brunch this Mother’s Day, this eatery should prove a tasty choice. Lastly, remember to grab a little dessert before you call it a day.
